Shayla’s introduction to yoga and “stretch-dance” classes was in her early teens in Toronto. She loved how the movements made her feel, and it was fun! In her adult life, while still fun, yoga shifted to a much deeper place: a healing practice on and off the mat. She loves Modo– it worked for her right from her first class in Edmonton in 2009. She felt the intention of the community and the deep connection to the pillars. Shayla is an ASL interpreter and is trained in Modo Level 1 and 2, Modo Flow, Nidra, Yin, Chair Yoga, Curvy Yoga and Trauma Informed Yoga.
