Julia has been an athlete and student of the human body her whole life. She holds a Kinesiology degree and a Masters in Physiotherapy. She has been practicing Modo Yoga for 14 years and yoga for 20. The Modo practice quickly became her main source of personal healing to help work with chronic pain issues from years of sports injuries. Julia is certified to teach Modo Level 1 and 2, Modo Flow, Modo Fit, and Yin. She loves blending physiotherapy and yoga together. She travels as faculty for the Modo Level 1, 2, and Fit Trainings where she gets to help new yoga teachers learn and refine their knowledge of functional anatomy and movement. As co-owner of Modo Yoga St. Catharines in Ontario as well, Julia’s time is split between Ontario, BC, and training destinations— but she looks forward to every chance she gets to land and connect in the Burnaby studio!
